Eventspace doc fixes and improvements

In particular, using a shut down eventspace actually returns
the exn:fail exception instead of exn:misc, which does not
exist. Example:
  #(struct:exn:fail start in timer%: current eventspace is shutdown:
    #<eventspace> #<continuation-mark-set>)
