[<I>,OPTION/</I>]... [<I>,TEMPLATE-FILE/</I>]...

Update each TEMPLATE-FILE if given, or `configure.ac' if present,
or else `configure.in', to the syntax of the current version of
Autoconf. The original files are backed up.
